we'll have our silver wedding anniversary on the same day next year. i wonder how we could manage to maintain this partnership for so long years. many times we faced a variety of difficulties. sometimes she or i, or even both of us thought we were almost over. every time we ran against a hardship, we got over it somehow by ourselves. we've learned to tolerate, to forgive, and to share. it's not so easy to live on together keeping a good partnership, no matter how much one loves his/her partner. i think i've made a great effort to maintain this marital status, and i know so she has, too. her challenge might have been greater than mine. anyway, it was long and short twenty-four years. no wonder our daughters have grown big, and no wonder we've grown old.
we had a sort of sophisticated course lunch at a japanese restaurant to cerebrate this day. meal was good, but service was not so... , oh, it's okay. this would be a piece of happy memories between us. after lunch i bought her a big bouquet with some words of thanks.
almost nothing has changed from yesterday. almost nothing will change tomorrow. we just live on together as a married couple day by day. thank god for giving us this life.
